Continuity of Learning Plan
Teaching and learning are the heart of our work. We will continue to focus on supporting our vision of providing the highest quality instruction to recognize the strengths of our students and meet the needs of all learners. We will do this by providing equal access to a viable curriculum that is aligned with the New York State Learning Standards and offers students individualized, explicit, strong and relevant learning experiences meant to prepare them for life beyond school. We will provide our scholars with learning experiences and teacher supports to ensure 180 days of instruction delivered in-person, remotely and through Blending Learning.
Our Program Model 1A
Consistent with the DOE family website, our school has been approved to use [MODEL 1A]. In alignment with this model, students were assigned to group A or group B. Families were sent their child’s assignment into group A or group B. Please contact Ms. De Los Santos at jdeloss@schoools.nyc.gov if you have any questions.
Your child’s student program for Blended and Remote Learning is posted in your child’s Google Classroom, on our school website and was sent in an email to parents. Students will follow their schedule to participate in live, synchronous classes, in-person instruction and asynchronous instruction. Remote students will access and participate in live instruction in the beginning of the scheduled period.
You can access additional information about synchronous instruction here: https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-year-20-21/return-to-school-2020/welcome-to-the-2020-2021-school-year
